We wanted a central hotel for just two nights last week. We could not book directly with the hotel so booked through a hotel website, big mistake. We were promised, for 180 Euros per night a room, including breakfast, with power shower, whirlpool bath, CD player and DVD player. We only got the power shower. The room was quite small and the TV would not work via the remote, nor could we receive Sky TV. The bathroom freebies were the old fashioined sachets, quite inaedquate. The towels were very good, as were the bathrobes, althoug a bit tight for the fuller figure. Our room was on the ground floor, right by the pool. I pointed out the description from the website and to be fair was offered another room, but as it was only for 2 nights we decided to put up with it, with a 20 Euro reduction for the inconvenience.
The breakfast was excellent, the staff very friendly and very good.
The location also very good, just about 10 minutes stroll from the main attractions and good restaurants. For a visit to Lucca, the local station is only a 10 minute walk, which is only a 20 minute trip to Lucca, well worth a visit. The hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes by taxi from the airport, around 11 Euros, depending on traffic. Mosquitoe's were a menace, especially at the hotel, inside and out. The mosquitoe machine in the room was inadequate, I was eaten alive. My advice is that if you are contemplating a stay here, make sure what room you can expect to be staying in by phoning the hotel first. The restaurant recommendations for both Lucca and Pisa were spot on, really good.

This is a quirky little place well located for the sights in Pisa. The double room was small and a bit rustic but had a very modern shower and good quality bath linen/robes etc. What was lovely was that the room opened into a small garden with a pool where you could sit outside in peace. A limited but pleasant breakfast was also served here. Watch out for the msquitoes though. The owners were very frendly but not at all obstrusive. I'm really a 5 star hotel kind of girl but I enjoyed this for a short stay and it was actualy quite romantic.

This villa comes highly recommended. Stayed in a suite which was very spacious and decorated in Tuscan style - elegant. The owners were very helpful and the villa was kept spotless. We were even given a personal telephone number so if we needed help when we were out we only had to ring the number.Breakfast was served either in your room or by the pool at whichever time you wanted and the food was fresh and filling. The villa was In a quiet residential area with only 8 mins walk to leaning tower and 5 mins to local train station for trips to Lucca and Florence. The airport was about 10 mins in taxi. This makes a pleasant change from staying in a hotel and is ideal for a short break.

Just returned from a 3 night break in Pisa where we stayed at the Villa Argentieri. We booked a suite at the villa, envisaging a romantic setting for our trip...that is exactly what we got. 8 minutes walk from the centre and the leaning tower, 15 minutes from the train station made it a good location.
The area was very quiet however we did get disturbed at night from dogs barking.
Our suite was superb...large living room and dining area, large bedroom with huge bed overlooking the swimming pool. The bathroom was lovely with a jacuzzi bath big enough for 2!
Each morning we were brought a delicious Italian breakfast at our requested time to eat in our own dining area.
The kitchenette was adequate to throw a snack together and store cold beers etc. Lovely outdoor areas for summer use.
Sky TV for the Rugby...great..
Would reccomend for couples. Very romantic.
