My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the private apartments (there is also a small hotel on site) at Borgo Di Colleoli for 7 nights and really enjoyed it. The apartment was a good size with a living area, double bedroom and bathroom. It wasn’t as modern as some of the hotels we stayed in for the rest of our trip but it was ideal for what we needed. The complex seems to be well looked after and contains 2 swimming pools, one a quieter one and another larger one that is more for families (although it is mainly couples at the resort) and a court yard restaurant which serves basic but good food. The scenery around the complex is amazing and adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Palaia is the nearest village (40 mins walk) with a couple of bars and restaurants but is very much a locals village. Having a car is essential as the complex is out in the middle of nowhere and you will need to drive to the local shops – this does mean it is very quiet and relaxing.
