We stayed at Tasty Tuscany just for one night, we were flying home from Pisa (50 mins) the next day. We had our 2 teenager daughters with us and they fell in love with the place. We arrived early and it wasn't a problem, straight into the pool to cool down.
I had booked in to do a cookery course which I thoroughly enjoyed, Pat is a calm and informative teacher and I have come away with new ideas. We and the other guests then ate what we had cooked. Eating together was a lovely opportunity to speak to the other people staying. For us chatting with an English couple made it a very enjoyable night. The house was run in a friendly welcoming way and I would highly recommend staying there.

Our stay at Tasty Tuscany was more than four days of learning about and how to cook authentic regional Italian cuisine. The proprietors, Pat and Paolo, treated us like family and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Some of the best times were sitting around the dinner table eating fabulous food, drinking locally produced chianti and absorbing Pat and Paolo's stories and lessons of cooking, Tuscan history and how to live life more fully. The accommodations at their hilltop b&b/cooking school were wonderful, the setting breathtaking, the opportunities for non-cooks many. Paolo's warm, personal touch as tour guide to nearby villages or other attractions brought Tuscany alive like no formal tour could match. Pat's gentle, funny, maternal nature helped make this, our first trip to Italy, an unforgettable experience. Her style of teaching -- whether the lesson is cooking healthfully or her philosophy on living a good life -- is refreshingly informal, much like the quiet learning lucky people experience at their mother's knee or apron strings. Tasty Tuscany is a beautiful place to learn, explore, eat and drink well -- and to relax and recharge your enthusiasm for life.

Our week at Tasty Tuscany was way too short. Patrizia and Paolo have a way of making you feel like family resulting in an experience like no other we have felt during our travels. We are still enjoying the learning we experienced during our cooking classes. We hope that one day Patrizia and Paolo will allow us to return their hospitality in our home during a visit to the US.

We spent 6 days with Pat and Paola in the middle of a 5 week tour that was mainly made up of 2 night stays.
We were ready this relaxed family environment. We had an amazing group of guests from other countries that made the time fun, along with our hosts.

We chose to mainly do our own thing with TT as our base. For us this was a great option , we had our own hire car but we also joined in some of Pat and Paolas trips as their local knowledge and contacts were obviously producing a great result.

The trip to San Gim and the lunch at their winery is a memory we will treasure for years.

The perfect get away from 5 star hotels.

We did some cooking classes as well, and have loved entertaining our friends with these great home style meals - but that is only half the story. The entertainment preparing the meals and the fun eating them was something else.

enjoy!
