Visitor to Italy from Cape Town, South Africa.23 - 24 November 2006
If it's all about location, Hotel Roma is situated in the perfect location which is around 500m from the leaning tower of Pisa. My bedroom was a single very basic room, very uncomfortable box bed, situated against a wall and a couple of mosquito's in the room made for a fairly unpleasant night's sleep. My room was also situated along the busy main road so I could not open the window because of the noise. My bedroom was spotlessly clean and so was my on-suite bathroom as well as the linen on my bed. The hair dryer in the bathroom barely worked and I would suggest that you take your own hair dryer along. One of the reception staff members was not very friendly and the serivce was bad but he did suggest a wonderful restaurant called Mario's when asked so that made up for his unfriendliness. Breakfast - very basic continental breakfast - a croissant, , jams and pre-packed cheese spread. We had to ask for fruit juice and a re-fill coffee. The hotel does offer parking - but it's not for free - there's a fee of 7 euros a day.
If I was to stay in Pisa again, I would stay there only because of the location and not for anything else.
