hotel website makes this place look great - oversells the reality by a long way!
basic room, not very clean and musty smelling.
Very close to the Leaning Tower, but suggesting it is a 1km wlak to the railway station a bit rich!!

We stayed here for one night before flying out of Pisa. What a dump. The room was really hot with no working air-con and numerous mosquitoes, the window opened directly onto a terrace from the hotel bar - not very reassuring for security - and there was no hot water at all in the evening. The beds were more like camp beds than anything. Breakfast was mediocre at best and was served by one of the rudest people I've ever come across. Yes, the hotel is really near to the tower but then so are many other Pisan hotels. We expected basic but I was totally unimpressed by the service and cleanliness for the price we paid. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

The location is good for the tower and Duomo and a variety of restaurants are nearby.
The reception staff were pleasant but the person serving breakfast was unwelcoming , uncommunicative and unhelpful.
The breakfast was sparse but the coffee was freshly made.
The room was very small for two people and the only window was in the ceilng. The shower was unpredictable.

The good thing about the hotel is the position, 15 mt from Piazza Del Duomo. But, sadly, it's the only good thing. My room was minuscule, without a table, the windows is over the ceiling and cannot be open, the bathroom was so small that the dryer is hanging over the mirror, the shower does not have a box so when you take a shower you inevitably flood the bathroom, on morning water has a very low pressure, the only international channel you see is CNN, the hotel itself is very noisy. Also, at about midnight the hotel closes, you have to take the key of the front door if you plan to return after the curfew :) the didn't tell me the first day, so I have to ring the bell untile someone of the staff wakes up and open, and he was very rude.

We had booked this hotel stay for 2 nights but decided immediately on check-in to leave as soon as possible. Because our other option was booked solidly for the first night, we ended up staying.
Check-in was done by an indifferent front desk clerk and we were taken to a room that was dirty, hot, smelly, and full of mosquitos. There was no ventilation fan or working air conditioner and the window opened onto the outdoor rooftop terrace above, offering no security with the windows open.
We made the best of it by touring the leaning tower, staying out late for a dinner with lots of wine (in the hopes of making the room appear just a bit more tolerable) and returned to sleep on top of the sheets with our clothes on while fighting off hoards of mosquitos, not quite successfully, in spite of putting on insect repellant. After a sleepless night of being eaten alive by insects, we were ready and waiting at the door to check out well before any staff arrived for us to do so. Our teenager, who usually is reluctant to wake up early, was packed up and ready to leave shortly after 6 AM.
All in all a very overpriced camping experience, complete with pesky biting insects and uncomfortable accommodations. I would fully agree with the other reviewer who expressed similar sentiments about this place. I would not send my worst enemy there.
