I went to Pisa on a business trip, and the hotel was booked for me. My room was very nice, though I only had a "backyard" window. The hotel is in an old building in the center of the town (just 500 metres from the tower).
Both the building and the room were well renovated, and the room included a televesion, an air conditioning unit and a nice bathroom.
The service was also very nice, but the man at the reception (the owner) didn't speak a word of English. This means a working knowledge of Italian may be helpful, especially if you want to book by phone.
The rates from the homepage seem very ok for what you get.
