We arrived in Pisa early in the morning and a coffee and croissant was
High in our agenda. After we left the train station we saw the
Coffee Gambrinus on C. Battisti and Viale Antonio Gramsci (left side
of the road). We went inside and ordered cappuccinos and croissants for 4 persons.
The waiter said, wait outside we bring everything out.
We did enjoy the cappuccinos and we went inside to order second.
When we ask for the bill the total was Euro 65,00.
We were stunned and ask how they came up with it. They charge double on Service charge. At the end we had to pay, however we warned another girl
about it and they seemed to be upset about it.
So please, be warned” They take you to the cleaners” Either stay inside and Get it yourself or don’t go there at all.

Pisa is one of those towns that has one attraction. If your in Florence, spend the $3 and take the train to see this little gem. Don't waste $16 walking to the top of the Tower of Pisa, instead spend $2 and walk through the Duomo (next to the tower) This is worth your money and time to stop in the city. Best best. Take the bus from the train station. You'll be dropped off in front of the the tower. If you hurry the next train leaves in 30 minutes. Instead of heading back to Florence, go to Lucca and spend the rest of your afternoon here. Its a wonderful town with a wonder area to walk around and see the sites. Enjoy!

In a quick websearch I found the hotel's website, I liked the pictures so I booked online, it was easy and fast. Since I booked for 3 nights, the hotel offered to pick me up at the airport. I found the hotel Francesco to be in an ideal location, quiet, clean and private, yet just a few steps away from the tower. The staff was very friendly too. If I visit Pisa again I will certainly stay at the hotel Francesco again!
