We stayed in a 6 bed dorm, however two beds were empty (which was nice!) - shared bathroom on the floor.
This hostel had a fully equipped kitchen that was fantastic, with EVERYTHING you need. There was also a nice common area, and a board with a lot of information about local places to eat and visit.
Small elevator in case you have big bags!
As shops in Bern close very early, the hostel offers a small variety of foods available for purchase at reception, plus vending machines, however it was expensive. It is much cheaper to go to the supermarket, but still, it was convenient!
Lockers were available but not big enough for a large full backpack, probably medium sized.
The only negative was that our room's window opened directly onto a fire escape/balcony. There was no air-conditioning, so we needed to open the window, but anyone from the street could have climbed right into our room.
It doesn't seem cheap but in Swiss prices it was fairly reasonable!
The location is great, with restaurants on the same street and about 10min to the train station.
