We looked for a hotel near the lake, as the hotels at the airport were completely booked (a rarity). My corporate agent said that the Warwick was a solid 4-star hotel. That seemed a higher rating than I would have given, as it appeared much more to be a standard travellers hotel. It was very much what you would expect from a hotel directly across from a major train station. The surrounding area was not particularly nice, especially after dark, and late night parking was not easy. The check-in was efficient and the night desk person was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but dated, and it had no clock (infuriating for a travel hotel). The website shows a picture overlooking the lake, so I was disappointed to find the hotel facing the train station on the busiest road in Geneva. Noise was not a problem, as you would expect staying in Geneva. Given the price and location, I would probably stay in the Cristal, which may have smaller rooms, but is in pretty much the same location, also has wifi and a decent restaurant, includes breakfast and a train transfer to the airport and is generally much less expensive.
