The hotel is in a great location - close to the lake, the main attractions and the railway station. The rooms are spacious and very modern and funky - looking a little like an IKEA showroom. Check-in took 20 minutes and there was only one person in front of us. At breakfast staff clearing tables just looked at us - no explanation of the system, showing to seats or even checking we were residents!
I would stay again, but only for the location - definitely not the service!

I rated it excellent though I had a problem .

new hotel . the newest in Lucern. opened last June . with a.c .very clean .very modern furniture.wide rooms .rich breakfast with omelette dish free upon your request . excellent location .near the train station and overlooks the lake .we booked it through a travel agency and we payed the bed and the breakfast .I gave them the voucher upon my arrival . we spent five nights .the next day of our arrival in the breakfast room the waitress came and said you should sign this bill because your breakfast is not included with your reservation .

I told her it is included and I went to the reception and explained this .they said ok .the next day in the breakfast room we had the same story and I told them our breakfast is included .they said ok sorry . the third day the same repeted story .the fourth day the same irritating story .the fifth day also the same .we did not enjoy our breakfast at all . I got nervous I argued with the receptionist and the manager after along conversation they confessed that our breakfast is included in our voucher .

simply they tried very hard to steel us but in a very gentle way . at last on the day of our departure right after we had finished our breakfast nervously because they did not miss to irritate us with the same story I have told them that I will write this comment and what they did to us on the internet .they said sorry in a dry way .strange people so be careful

Stayed here for 2 nights beginning of December. Do not agree at all with the reviewer who says hotel in middle of an industrial area. Wasn't a factory in sight. Hotel is near train station, but that doesn't detract from it at all. 5 - 7 minute walk to old town and maybe 15 minute walk to casino. Walked it alone in the late evening and felt completely safe. The rooms are beautiful with the added perk for those cool mornings of heated floors in the bathroom. We all loved it. The restaurant was very nice and the bar/lounge area a good place for a nightcap. The hotel is on the lakefront and the views are wonderfull

This hotel has some problems; I believe management needs to be held accountable for them. We had booked a room and then decided to stay another night. Hotel was not near capacity, so it was not a problem. The desk clerk, however, told us she could not give us the rate we had book via the internet, but instead had to give us a higher rate. We could have walked to the business center and made the reservation online right then, but it seemed like a silly thing to do. Certainly, a quick check would have secured the same rate for one more night. Not a policy that endears a hotel to the customer. Room was new, splashy, modern, but a very short shower wall allows water to drip over the tub onto the floor, they need some re-design here. We were not in a business room, so did not get a Free Breakfast. This smacks of "nickle and dime" stuff, charging for a breakfast when just about every other hotel in Switzerland offers it free. If no breakfast is included, a convenient coffee pot and refrigerator would have been nice. Only hot water heater with instant, yuk. The location for us was great, close to train station, river, walking areas. It is not an industrial area as another review stated, but rather a transportation center, and business area.
