We returned to the Casino following its renovation, having been there on the last night of its previous incarnation and eager to try the new. There is now a nice bar and the dining area has been refurbed, although with no imagination and tepid execution. If there are views to the lake, it is a superb spot; otherwise, rather stark.
The menu features vegetarian, fish, and meat entrees as well as a seasonal offering, tonight focused on game. I had spatzle with fall vegetables that was very good and enormous. My fellow diners had beef and lamb with vegetables; both meats were overcooked. The caramel flan for dessert was one of the best I've ever had -- beautifully burnt caramel and succulent flan.
Service was not included (which we had to inquire about) and you apparently have to tell them you want to include service before running your credit card. Our server was very nice and spoke excellent English. English menus are available.
In the summer months, where you can sit outside over the lake, I can imagine this being a divine spot.
