We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. I wouldn’t call this a “hotel” but rather a boutique style lodging. I was surprised the reception is at 2nd floor with a small walkway from the 1st floor. But as European called it, the reception is at 1st floor and the ‘ground’ floor is a café. Anyhow, the reception was filled with smoking air and I didn’t like the idea of inhaling 2nd hand smoke. First impression of our room is “pink walls”. Then, I looked around the room, the furniture was basic, one bed, two 60 style night stand, one coffee table with 2 chairs. TV is mounted on the wall. Mini-fridge, and mini-safe was in the closet. There were little room for clothes and no drawers. Bathroom was standing shower. Overall, simple, clean and no smoking smell. I always stayed a chain hotels so this style of lodging was new for me. To me, the room felt more like someone’s small master bedroom than a feeling of hotel. Nevertheless, clean room, clean bed sheets is a big plus in my book. Free wi-fi which it didn’t work. Continental breakfast was tasty for me and I enjoyed it. The location was really good. Just when I think this place was not too bad, the last night stay ruined it. Last night was on a Friday, central location took another meaning of loud, rowdy people walking around. We’ve discovered the walls are thin. One side of the wall is another room that we could hear a couple going at it while another side of the wall is a resident that is throwing a party. The music sounded like a nightclub with heavy base and was going at it for 4 hours. We complain to the reception and they apologized but could do anything about it. Music and other noise didn’t stop until around 1:30AM. Headache and nervousness hits me pretty good. Next day at checkout finally found out it cost around $200- US dollars per night, which is not worth the price even for a central location.
