I wanted to make sure that tripadvisor members had a chance of discovering this fantastic restaurant when traveling to Eindhoven. Its my long time favorite place to eat out. A home away from home. The decor is modern but the tables are set in a classic way, with linen napkins, silverware etc. The cook has earned his merits in France and serves seasonal oriented meals based on classics with a modern twist. Every time a dish is served you think this is not enough but when you're done you couldn't eat one bite more. The staff is very attentive and correct but not with that haughty french attitude you find in so many top restaurants. The menu is set in 6 entrees, 6 main course and 6 desserts. You choose for either 2 or 3 courses. You're starter is preceded by some nice amuses, and the first course is accompanied by freshly baked warm rolls, butter and olive oil and fleur de mer (salt derived from the crust only) they have a perfect wine list (which is on the pricy side)
They have succeeded to be mentioned by the Michelin Guide 3 years on a row, not an easy task I assure you. Last but not least, food is simply perfect, tastes are delicate and well balanced. Not bothered by the modern "lean cuisine", it is rich and full. And at the end of the evening the chef steps out and visits each table to inquire and comment. Really a gem in an otherwise boring city, retaurant-wise i mean.
