Lets start with the only thing up for improvement in this wonderful restaurant; the place could do with a few extra metres of space and a nice front view. That said everything here is just right. Rarely have I met more friendly and committed restaurant owners in Amsterdam, they are truly interested in their clients and have a real passion for their products. This restaurant is good for breakfast (with nice 'typical dutch' flavors), lunch or a high tea. The latter is a particular treat with home made pies to die for. Its good value too, certainly cheap for the level of service and attention to detail. It has only 7-8 tables so you may want to book in advance to prevent being disappointed. Unfortunately it is now appearing in tourist guides for Amsterdam and crowded with the occasional tourist group. If you have spent some time in Amsterdam you'll appreciate what a great place this is.
