i went there last, earlier this year in Jan 05 with my now ex-wife. we had a brilliant time! i am a big eater and the food was fine. they do take their time between course but that gives you time to chill, talk to each other, and to the people next to you. very chilled atmosphere and the waiting on staff were fun, they took the time to talk and have a joke with us etc.. music was really good also and they do a little side show which is entertaining!

i read a review saying its not a couple thing but it is! remember i went with my now ex wife and things were not good between us but we still managed to talk and have a laugh.

i am going to the Dam in a few days (CANT WAIT!!) and really wanted to go to the Su pper club, but the dudes I am going with are not interested and too cheap, too bad for them cause its a good experience.

“Eat before you go!”

What a horrible place to go to for dinner. Our reservation was at 7:30 but beware that you do not get seated until 8:30. You arrrive and are herded into the downstairs bar for drinks. Then they finally call you to go upstairs to be seated for dinner. The restaurant is ok albeit a tad dated. The first course was ok but we were starving at this point so anything would've done. The food took so long ie one very small course per hour. We were tempted to go outside for a slice of pizza and we are not big eaters. The rest of the food was almost inedible as the fish tasted off and my vegetarian dish had a rancid smell that would not stop repeating on me for the rest of the night. By 12:00 we had still not recieved our last course but we were so desperate to get out we left. Warning all gentlemen: there is an act where a girl comes out and pretends to be very drunk and falls over. The nice men run to help her up and then are made a fool of as it's all part of her act. What type of restaurant takes the [--] out of its customers? Certainly not one I would return to!

“I hated the Supper Club”

The Supper Club was unequivocally the worst eating experience of my life.
It was supposed to be 5 courses & we only got three. Our dinner cost over £120 per head (with wine), so you would expect to at least get all of it.
The staff were too busy preening around to provide decent service and the head to toe white outfits were hilarious – how 90’s J’Lo of them!
I just don’t know where our waitress went. But she didn’t come back.
She was probably too busy dancing on the bar.
The show was so bad it’s was almost funny. They had a mime & a naked woman getting painted in chocolate, heaven’s forbid they would want to dispel Amsterdam’s reputation for being tacky.
The music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation.
Dinner is eaten off your lap.
When the DJ hammered out “I believe I can fly” I believed I could have cried.
The patrons seemed to think they were dead cool for being there but were the sort of people that would own a Ricky Martin CD.
It was tacky, pretentious & complete and utter rubbish.

“It's Not that Cool”

Having dined in truly great restaurants in Chicago and New York, as well as in many European cities, I found the gimmick of the Supper Club outdated and tiresome. The evening drags on as the music becomes louder and the video display more frenetic. There are far more beautifully designed, interesting restaurants serving better food at the prices demanded by this tourist trap. Don't waste your time or Euros.
