Although some of the items on the menu at Visaandeschelde are a bit pricey, the atmosphere at this restaurant does not feel snobby or contrived at all. The service was great, the wait staff were very eager to explain what each dish was, and our food was served with minimal waiting time. We opted for the 5 course taster menu; and we were definitely not disappointed!! The fish was so fresh and tender - the meat literally melted in my mouth. Even the eel soup was delicious - and for me to mention this in my review is a big deal since I don't really have a fondness for eel meat. The highlight of it all was the bed of oysters. Each oyster was amazingly fresh - the taste of the sea soothes the palate with each piece. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. To fully enjoy the experience at Visaandeschelde, I would suggest setting aside at least 250 euros for the bill.
