I stayed here last week, having visited Utrecht before. I have stayed at a couple of other places in Utrecht that were ok, but one was a bit out of town and the other was over-priced. I came across this because it has a fine restaurant (Luden) and a fine bar/cafe (Broers) on its ground floor. I had been to both and didn't realise there was a hotel above. The hotel is smart, has character, and we had a room on the second floor which over looked the church and its square in front of the hotel. The square is also a flower market as well. There was a little bit of traffic noise as the road outside is a main public bus route in and out of Utrecht but that didn't stop me sleeping. The balcony out onto the square was a good place to enjoy the evening's nice atmosphere. Utrecht town centre is very close and some good shops and many places to eat and drink are within a few minutes walk. i'll certainly stay here again. Breakfast was excellent.
