We booked this hotel via the Campanile website, and that worked fine. We stayed here because of the hotel's location relatively close to Capelle a/d Ijssel where hotels are rather few and far between. It's only 3-400 metres off the Rotterdam Ring, and it's about a 15-minute walk from the hotel to the Oosterhoff shopping centre, where there is also a Metro station for links to central Rotterdam.
The hotel has its own (free) carpark, but there's only about half the number of spaces as there are rooms, so it can get full. Note that one side of the accommodation block faces, and is close to, a busy city street; if you're a light sleeper, try to get a room on the other/carpark side.
Not surprisingly, the hotel conforms to Campanile's formula of basic accommodation: the rooms are rather small and sparsely furnished, but it's all modern, clean and tidy; the bathroom equipment and fluffies were fine. Rooms are not airconditioned but staff told me that this is in fact going to be installed from July, 2007.
The hotel has a full-service (3 meals) restaurant and bar, and we found this quite an attraction. It had a friendly atmosphere, with the chef visible doing his work; there is a meal-of-the-day, as well as a menu, both very reasonably-priced. There is are excellent buffet bars for both salads and deserts.
All-in-all, we enjoyed our stay here - it was in a convenient location for us and provided everything on a reliable, no-frills, basis, for a reasonable price (considering this is Rotterdam). Recommended, if this suits your style.
