The hotel's location at Place Rogier is quite good (not the best in the city but certainly not the worst). Metro Rogier is very close and the Central station is within walking distance. A little bit of noise from traffic (ambulances etc).

Ordinary 4* rooms, rather small.

Breakfast is fine but nothing special.

The negative thing was that a group of young Spaniards stayed in the hotel and made a lot of noise at night. A colleague said it was like staying in a youth hostel. Of course I don't know if they often have noisy groups or if this was an exception.

I don't really understand all the poor reviews I've read of this hotel. I went for a conference where they had arranged for a choice of several hotels in the area. After reading the reviews on trip advisor, I was a bit anxious as to what my hotel experience would be like. While this is nowhere near the nicest hotel I've ever stayed, it certainly was above average. The room was a bit small but very comfortable except that it was a trifle over-heated for my taste. However, this was easily solved by opening the window. I was on the 29th floor, so was not bothered by any noise. The bathroom was also above average and very clean and no problems with the shower. Breakfast, while not exceptional, was good providing a variety of choices. I did notice queues at reception a couple of times, but I only had to wait 5 minutes the 3 times I went to the desk. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised.

excellent location--would recommend this hotel--kept clean--staff helpful when you asked but they didnt volunteer information-- only two sachets of coffee in rooms--excellent location if you like shopping--city 3 shopping centre across the road--excellent steakhouse right beside the hotel

Hotel
Hotel has a business feel about it - not a standard hotel that you would expect near the City Centre. Rooms are a good size and kept clean. Bathrooms are kept clean - but the shower is so hard and powerful, feels like knifes hitting you instead of water - so we always run a bath.

If you drink from the minibar and breakfast are expensive - but limited breakfast places in Brussels - and breakfast wasn't that great.

Good location, outside from the hussle and bussle but walking distance - only a 5 minute walk into the centre. Although, the hotel is near sex shops and a small 'red like district'

The resturant next to the hotel called 'Brussels Steak House' is well worth a visit - Good value for money, good staff and excellent food.

Staff we're helpful when needed. We only used them once when a member of our party made a mistake booking the wrong Thon Hotel - they didn't really go out of there way to help.

Overall
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a cheap hotel, good location and slightly above average. THe hotel was good - although the City only has a few things to offer, and English is VERY limited in the resturants - so brush up on your french!
