“Great for the business, affordable for the Weekend travellers”

The opinions on this hotel vary alot depending on the reviewr. Those who are looking for the US-style hotel away from the US will find it perfect. And those who want to experience authentic Belgium hospitality will find this one faceless and forgettable.

The hotel is in the business district, a 20-minute walk away from the historical centre. The service is good. There was a small problem with the shower head in our room, but it was well after the midnight so I did not call anyone to fix it. The A/C was louder than I would like it to be, but it was cool outside, so I turned it off.

The breakfast was great and indeed AUTHENTIC. Though I found some American-like junk-food items, the fruit selection, the croissants and Belgian waffels were delightful. And there were free chocolates at the lobby.

Stayed here for one night. Hotel was well located for our purposes, close to a train station (to buy Thalys tickets for the next day) and about 20 minutes' walk to the Grand Place and restaurant row.

Room was ready for our early morning arrival. Clean, well maintained, similar to a U.S. business hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful with lunch recommendations and directions. Went to Aux Armes Bruxelles for lunch, excellent seafood and wine, service. Hotel's bistro-type restaurant had excellent brekfast buffet and decent, simple dinner choices.

Not luxurious but only slightly overpriced. Chocolates at reception desk were much enjoyed by Mr. H_O! :-)

Beautiful and spacious room. Friendly staff. I might be wrong but I think we had to pay for the parking...

I stayed at this hotel with my husband for a weekend and loved it! The area the hotel is in, the European Quarter, is very quiet on the weekend and I loved the feel of the area. The walk to the Grand Place is only about 5 minutes and is a straight shot. It was nice to see the touristy things and they get away from it at the end of the day. There are great restaurants in the area and they are cheaper than any around Grand Place.

The hotel was great, although we weren't offered the complementary glass of wine was not offered to us, but we did see if offered to other guests. The rooms were spacious and clean with a complementary bottle of water which I always appreciate in a hotel. The water pressure in the shower was pretty poor, but the bathroom had all of the extras like conditioner, bath salts, lotion and an emery board which I also love to get when I travel. There were several channels on the tv in English and overall I had a great stay at this hotel and plan to stay again next weekend!

“At 195 Euros for a night it is overpriced”

Stayed one night in April. Check in was a nice experience the staff polite and quick. A glass of wine is offered for free, and quite rightly they should as they charge quite a lot for a night.

The room had space and was clean and nice. Seven pillows in the bed is to much. Just count the number of pillow cases beeing washed a day, not good for mother nature. And the maid has to do some overtime to get them all in place. Better to have reception stocked with extra pillows to meet special needs from a guest.

I had a room facing the street and was disturbed by the traffic, in addition the ventilation was loud so I can not say I had a good nights sleep.

The bathroom had a nice bath with plenty of hot water. Towels were to small and the finish of the walls, sink and toilet was as in a motel, more gadgets altough. The light only had one mode and that was like beeing in a TV studio with very strong lights instead of relaxing in the bath with low lights.

Minbar well stocked and prices OK as they charged 3,5 Euros for a small beer.

Location was fine with transport close at hand.

Breakfast very tasy and had all you can ask for. Staff slow to serve coffee and it took them ages to clean the table.

For 195 Euros I did not get a good nights sleep thus the low rating of my experience.
