“Better than average”

In Brussels for a business breakfast, needed a room close to the Conrad, found this. EUR 109 per night.

Nice check-in staff, big room, creaky floorboards, free wi-fi downstairs, nice soap & stuff in the bath, trouser press. I'de go back if I needed to be in the area again.

“Small but Great”

Make no mistake this hotel does not have 4* amenities nor does it have a restaurant but it does provide 4* service. If you want to be an anonymous item then this hotel is not for you - go to the larger chains closer to the city centre with associated city centre costs.
The hotel is a 10 mins walk on the flat from the Metro, then 10 mins ride into the centre. Several decent restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.
The hotel rooms are reasonable size and the ones on the back of the hotel are silent with no city noise. The breakfast room is adequate with a good selection of cold food and some hot items (buffet service). The lady in charge of the breakfasts is a dynamo and will replenish items without being asked.
Everyone on reception has been welcoming, efficient and most helpful.
I have been to this hotel several times and have not been disappointed once. I have stayed at larger hotels in the Centre and regretted it because of poor service, noise and high prices.

Very difficult to find - took us one and half hours touring Brussels! However just off Avenue Louise with its "posh" shops. Traditionally furnitued, quiet hotel. Secure parking was closed for the summer, but we were lucky enough to find free street parking just around the corner. Staff pleasant. Full English breakfast as well as usual breakfast bar. No restaurant, but local restaurants in easy walking distance (10 minutes).

I would not really rate this as a 4 star Hotel, as for a 4 star Hotel you would expect some air-conditioning. My major grumble was being charged 6 euro for two cups of tea, which we made ourselves in the lobby, as the rooms do not have coffee/ tea making facilites. Even 1 star hotels provide this service, and I just think it is very miserable on their behalf to charge you for this. I would not return as I believe better accomodation is available elsewhere in the city. On the plus side the rooms were clean, and the hotel is well situated for public transport, but this is a 3 star hotel at best, pretending to be something else.

My sister and I have just returned from a two day stay in Brussels, with one night at the Floris Hotel. Overall we had a really pleasant stay but one big gripe would have to be the lack of air conditioning in the rooms!! When we arrived it was the hottest day of their year so far and the room was sweltering. We opened all the windows which were very large but which didn't let in loads of fresh air, they did let in however loads of noise from the traffic outside! They were also re-surfacing the road and at 3am they came to move the large piece of machinary which was used to flatten the tarmac, what a racket!! As a result we had to close the windows and roast for the rest of the night! My advice would be, if you are coming in the summer months, perhaps ask for a room at the back which may be a bit quieter. The room and bathroom were very large and very clean. The TV had only a couple of English speaking channels, which may be a problem for some. Our rate included a buffet breakfast which although not large was certainly adequate and fairly varied, again the breakfast area was very clean. The hotel is in a good location with the shops and Metro only a short walking distance. On the whole I would probably come back to the Floris but perhaps only in the cooler months!
