The place had a good comfortable room and they gave us a photocopy of a city map so we could find museums. But my husband and I ended up regretting our choice of hotel. We stayed one night, and in the evening I asked whether the morning buffet breakfast was included in the price of our room. The receptionist consulted the computer and said that yes, it was included. So in the morning we had breakfast (which for us, being vegetarians and therefore having limited options, was coffee and pastries). When we checked out we were charged 20 Euros each for breakfast. I explained what we had been told and the receptionist asked a bunch of questions about who the woman was I'd spoken to. She concluded that there was nothing she could do for me. Not staying at a Holiday Inn again.

This hotel is in the EU Commission area and offers steep discounts when the Eurocrats are not in session. It is well away from the sights - be warned - but only about 3 stops on the metro back to the city centre. Personally I prefer that as I do not like hotels in noisy tourist zones where I can't get to sleep. The staff were very helpful can I metion Brenda from Mexico. Nice modern rooms with air con, on one visit I had a problem with it and it was fixed immediately. Small bar with good choice of belgian beers at good prices. Irish style pub a few doors away if you need a nightcap there. Great hot/cold buffet breakfast. As I said if you want to sleep on the Grand Place this would not be your choice, but for business, groups, seniors, couples poss families this is a nice place.
