Stayed for 8 days in this lovely quiet hotel. Rooms are above average size for Europe and the bed was beautifully comfy.
Any problems are dealt with carefully - the hairdrier hose was split in the room, the following day it had been sorted (they had said they would change my room if I did not want to wait)
Reception staff very helpful
Breakfast staff are a little unobservent - there was no coffee in the coffee machine on Sunday, but as soon as it was pointed out, it was refilled. Similarly when I pointed out that 2 yoghurts were 1 day past the use by date, they quickly removed and replaced. There is a good supply of bread, pastries, cereal, meats, cheese & juices to tempt you.
Hotel position is great, close to the Central station for arrival/departure and day trips to Bruge/Ghent/Antwerp (NB trains are cheaper at weekends). Close to Grand Place for general tourist stuff!
Note that the hotel is no longer owned by the Hesperia Group and is now known as Hotel Centrale (but says Grand Place ove the main entrance) - we walked past the hotel on our arrival!!
