I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a business trip. I booked this hotel because of its location and after having looked at its website which gave the impression of a sleek and modern hotel. The hotel does differ from typical ones in several ways, and whether one likes this or not is very subjective. For example, the breakfast is eaten on one long table with fellow guests and there is no check-in desk as such.

The main problem of this hotel for me was the fact that I did not get a good night’s sleep due to the level of noise. Unfortunately, the hotel is situated at a busy intersection ( George Henri and Brandt Whitlock) which means that one can hear the traffic (and loud music from passing cars) at all times. Also the hotel is an old converted house and as a result one can also hear the creaking stairs. I must admit I am a light sleeper but I don’t think there is any room in this hotel where one can escape from the traffic noise.

As to the rooms themselves, they are pretty bland – no art work just four white walls and quite small. The window curtain in the bathroom was quite flimsy and as it faced windows from a building on the road opposite, I didn’t feel all that comfortable in there. Finally, there is no hairdryer in the bathroom.

I did like the concept of this hotel but as I could not get a decent night’s sleep, I will not be staying there again.

Striking design features and very good, friendly service. Clean and well maintained. Breakfast was particularly good.

Single room on third floor (no lift) was very hot (outside was 26 Celsius) with little ventilation and no airconditioning. On a very noisy road junction, so not quiet.

Reasonable value and I will stay again as the location suits my purpose.

The design lovers will love this place. Many of them are from P.STARK.;Ingo,Alessi ..... Easy access right behind the metro station;nice restaurants around try (411 is the name of the restaurant across the hotel); The breakfast is wonderfull; lovely and helpfull staff speaking five different languages.

We planned to visit Brussels for 2 days on business recently. The hotel was recommended by a friend and the website looked cool as well. By the time we checked into this hotel we've been travelling for 2 weeks and this was the 4th hotel we stayed in. The building is older and has 3 levels. No lift meant that we were left to drag our suitcases up 3 (very steep) flights of stairs. The rooms are tiny and mine was situated on the road which meant it was very noisy. I had to hold my shower head in my hand as it was broken. Management came across as very rude and extremely unhelpful. After one night we decided to change our flight and return to London. This was the worst hotel I have stayed in. It is definitely not a hotel, but more like a budget bed & breakfast. I am sure that Brussels offers much better options even for the traveller on a budget.
