NH Hotel Atlanta Brussels

Reception staff can't be faulted: fast efficient check-in, very helpful, knowledgeable and truly trillingual - many Brussels staff hate speaking Dutch but not these guys who did so with a smile.

Nice spacious room and bathroom (with a good & comprehensive toilletries selection). All looks like it's recently been refurbished and has gorgeous French windows that open on to a mini balcony adding to the spacious feel.


Well located - 2 mins to the shops, just under 10 to the Grand Place.

On the downside both my colleagues had rooms overlooking a side street with a nightclub: the club was fine but people leaving it noisily kept waking them up. This isn't a problem with rooms facing the inside perimeter of the hotel.

In this price bracket I've previously stayed in the Hilton and XXX in Brussels: both of which had cramped rooms and indifferent staff. The NH however can't be faulted on this (or indeed anything else that I could think of) & hence I highly recommended it if you get a room not overlooking the street.

I think that you can find better for the price. The location is decent enough, though on a very busy and LOUD street. I don't usually care about this so much UNLESS you are placed ina room overlooking the street. The windows are not soundproofed and I tossed and turned all night long as the loud traffic, horns honking about every half hour, loud groups of people all passed by.... made for a miserable night of "sleep." The staff were not overly friendly either. The room itself was very nice.. but I think that you can find better accomodations for the same price. I wouldn't come back to this one.

Good location near lots of shops and close to metro and a cinema and lots of bars. Friendly staff. Room smallish but more than adequate with everything you needed and a nice sized bathroom with stylish toiletries. And a pillow menu which you'll probably need to supplement the rather thin initial offering. Great breakfast buffer too.

We went to the NH Atlanta in Belgium to visit the Christmas markets in dcember 06. The hotel was really nice and the staff friendly. Upon checking in we were allocated a single and double room. Although both rooms were non smoking the single room had definitely had a smoker use the room before. The reception changed the room with no bother and the second room was smoke free!

The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and clean! The only slight problem was they were a bit reluctant at filling up the tea and coffee. The pillows were also a bit hard but the hotel runs a service were you can pick the pillow that you like so we chose to swap to fluffy white pillows which were promptly delivered to the room on request along with some more tea!

In terms of location the hotel was very close to the grand place and to the main road of restaurants so it was perfect for shopping and eating out afterwards.There is also a large indoor shopping mall nearby incase there is a rainy day!

All in all this hotel was really nice the only problems were the few gliches mentioned above but the reception dealt with any problem quickly and efficiently.
