“Classy Little Hotel”

Hotel Jan Brito

My wife and I have just stayed one night at the Jan Brito hotel in Bruges on a room only basis.

It was excellent in every way!

The location was ideal, being only a couple of minutes walk from the Burg and the Markt.

Our room was wonderful, spacious, and with oak beams and an
exquisitely decorated bathroom.

As for the staff they were both friendly and effecient.

If you are staying in Bruges, I throughly recommend that you book here, you will not regret it.

“One up to the Baroness”

Hotel Jan Brito

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in February.
The staff were fantastic. We had a competition to decide which shift was the most helpful.
We opted for the Baroness de Guy package which included two evening meals. The one on the first night was one of the best I've ever tasted and the second night was not far behind. Still on food, the hotel breakfast was also excellent.
As far as location goes, we couldn't have been much better placed: close enough to walk round all the sights but with a hotel on a quiet street.
Bruges is lovely with a visit to a cake house and a trip on the canal both must do's.
In conclusion I would advise anyone thinking about Bruges a) to just go and b) to chose the Jan Brito.

The first thing that impressed us was their own car park within 50 metres of the hotel. Location of the hotel is excellent, as it is only 200m from the fish market, and less than 5 minutes walk to the town square. Reception was good and speedy. The room we had booked was quirky to say the least. Downstairs was the old stable, which apart from the stalls being left in, had easy chairs, mini bar, and writing desk. Upstairs was a good double bed, with excellent bathroon(Spa bath, shower etc.).

Breakfast was more than adequate, as were the friendly staff.

We had booked a 3 day deal which included dinner 2 nights at the Park Restaurant which is 100m away. Food there was very good, but one night you are only offered the set menu, and if you are not partial to what they have to offer, you might be better off taking an allowance and eatingf a la carte.

The bar was OK, but always quiet. Overall I was most impressed by quality of the hotel, its stakk and its location.

I really recommend their 3 night deal, as it is really good value when you consider they give you dinner 2 evenings, car park, canal ride bus tour and concessions to the museums. When we reurn we will definitely stay at the Jan Brito

This hotel lived up to the positive reviews which have already appeared on this site.
The hotel is in a good location and the building itself is very attractive inside. The room was reasonably sized, quiet and extremely clean including the bathroom.
The room was very warm at times but the air con unit cooled it perfectly in what turned out to be a very warm April.
The breakfast room was also impressive, with a high ceiling, chandalier and tasteful decor. It overlooked a walled garden. The breakfast itself was also great, continental, with a wide range of food, enough to keep you going until evening if you wished to enjoy the full range!
The rooms downstairs were also very impressive with huge fireplaces and period features.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. One of the best experiences we have had in a European Hotel of this standard. A really enjoyable stay.

“Great hotel”

Hotel Jan Brito

Just got back from a 3 night break in Bruges. Booked Hotel JanBrito from reviews on Trip Adviser and found the hotel to be as expected. We booked a knight room which was situated on the top floor, not in the main hotel building but the annexe building to the side so had to go across a small courtyard to the glass lift to access our room. This wasn't a problem at all as we had lovely weather but had it been wet there were always umbrellas close to the doors for the guests to use.

The room was on the small side but had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was a good size with a good assortment of toiletries.

Excellent choice of cereals, rolls, cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurts and pastries for breakfast, as well as a selection of hot scrambled egg, boilded egg and bacon. Enough to set you up for the day.

Hotel is in an excellent position less than 5 mins from the centre but far enough away to be in a quiet position.
