This will be a new and unexpected experience for you: rent a hotel room and be assured that you can't sleep ! Be sure to ask for Room 41 which is a sub-street level room, it has two single pane windows whose sills are level with the pedestrian walk plus one old door in wood, permanently closed and also ill isolated. Pedestrians walk by just a few centimetres from the window, you can hear every single step and join their conversations. The street pavement of old and original cobbles is a mere two meters away from said windows. During the night there is motor traffic some four or five times per hour. You have the impression that cars are driving trough your room.
Isn't that a unique experience ? I'm sure that there are plenty of nice rooms in this hotel as well. I was glad to be able to leave after one night (and a totaly uninterested hotel staff - they must be used to this kind of complaint)
