Clean, very quiet, spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, slept soundly. Lots of outlets to charges all of our electronic gadgets. Good breakfast. Nice location. Very friendly owners.

Didn't see owners at all the entire afternoon, evening, night we checked in. They just left keys and registration cards for guests to fill in. Seemed a bit unusual, and proved to be a problem because Wifi didn't work. At breakfast the following morning, owners got Wifi working.

Also seemed a bit pricey compared to other b&bs we've stayed in, but rooms in a large swath of the area were hard to find because of a music festival in Ferryland. Maybe that's why...

Just south of St John's is a gem of a B&B run by a wonderful couple. Witless Bay is within easy reach of St John's but far enough away to experience non-urban Newfoundland. Puffins & whales are nearby in the ecological preserve. Ferryland dinner theatre, Cape Race are also within an easy drive.

Try it you'll like it.

Room tip: Ocean view is best.

My friend and I were hiking the East Coast Trail and decided to treat ourselves to a night in a B&B, and stopped here almost randomly. We are so glad we did. The beds were so comfy! The bedrooms were quite spacious and had a homey feeling. Since we were hiking and had no mode of transport, it was also handy that we could walk to the 'downtown' area in 10-15 minutes.
Clayton and Tammy were also extremely accommodating! They also own a restaurant in Bay Bulls and Clayton offered to give us a ride there for dinner. When we said we were too exhausted and just wanted to stay in, he offered to bring take out for us. Tammy knew my friend had severe gluten, dairy and sugar allergies and she literally cooked up an entire container of quinoa for here to take with us on the trail. Great experience all around!

Very nice couple. Rooms were clean. Up the hill so there is a view. Not too far out of St. John's. Very friendly town stayed for two nights. We only phoned 2 days ahead Great breakfast They also run the Sapphire pub. Fresh seafood and chowder all made right there.

Bear's Cove Inn is a pleasant stay within a short drive from St-John's. We stayed in one of the ocean view rooms which was very nice, however the inn is located across the road from the ocean so the view is partially blocked. The room had a balcony, unfortunately the weather was too cool for us to take advantage of it. The room was very clean and was adequately sized. The breakfast was excellent and the dining room is a very sunny and pleasant place to start the day and the hosts were very friendly and helpful.
