Me and my partner stayed at the Santa Eulalia Beach club in Feb half term, we were very impressed by the cleanliness of these apartments, rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed every other day.
The outside could do with a lick of paint but the apartments themselves were absolutely fine. Rooms were spacious with brand new furniture.

Good location, near to the beach and supermarkets.

Cheap buses (bus stop outside tourist information (here you can collect a bus timetable)).

Ok, During my time as a rep in portugal, I reped the santa eulalia.
Its a hotel just off the main town area, dubbed family freindly and sold as a cheap and cheerful holiday.
First off, the looks. The hotel appears dirty and dated, but I suppose you get what you pay for.
The pool is adiquatly sized, but not enough sunbeds for the size of the hotel.
There is a kids club on site, and most activities are free so theres time for the adults to relax too.
Rooms are a good size. There is no sea view (whatever the brochures may say) and some rooms do look over a car park/bins. Oh and despite the title, the hotel is at least 10 minutes away from any beach!
At night, there can be a little rowdiness as there is always entertainment at the bar, but at midnight the bar closes no matter how many people are in it, so be warned.
The reception staff can be a little abrasive but the bar staff are nice as pie.
Overall a good hotel and appeals to those who want a cheap getaway

We stayed at this hotel because it was afordable, nothing more. We expected more because of the comments people made here. But you have to see it for yourself to see what is right for you.

There are lots of people (women and men) drinking beer/wine one after the other. They also have events where people come and sign karaoke songs. This scene was becoming very depressing at the end. Saying this, if you like this environment then this is the place for you.

About the staff, they are just ok. Dont expect much.

About cleanliness?

The cleaner didnt change our bedding since we arrived (for 6 days) and I felt that this holiday was more about ME cleaning the apartment instead. It was a hard job at the end and it was part of my holiday.

The room was cold during the night and the air conditioning didnt heat up the whole apartment. Can you sleep in a cold room?

If you are a non smoker- make sure you ask for a room with non smokers near you. Someone near our apartment was smoking all the time that this was coming into our apartment. We were second hand smoking.

Good thing about this hotel and the location? a few things and is fair to say this.

1. size of the room was large, there is a kitchen where you can cook and they provide all the facilities ( eg., kitchen towels, utensiles, plates, saucepans. etc). There is a microwave where you can use but we didnt use it. There is a fridge to use.

2. Location - not far from the beach and restaurants. However, it was too far from the old town.

3. TV- if you come from England, you have sky TV, channel 4, BBC and ITV.

4. Furniture was new and the bed matress was comfortable. Shame about the bedding, I think it is better to sleep on a clean sheet. There is also a bedsofa.

6. They have an internet room, only 1 Euro per 10 minutes.

I think my comments are fair but knowing all this if we do come next time, we will spend more money and stay in a nicer hotel/area.

we stayed in the santa eulalia beach club apartments aug 07 and had a fantastic time, on entering we were slightly worried as it is a large area and could do with a lick of paint, although that sounds worse than it was, I have read reviews about rude staff, this is the reason for my late review, NO WAY were the staff rude, they were sooo friendly, we went in a party of 8 4 adults then children of 16, 15, 13 and 9, the bar staff were excellent with them, jose in particuliar was great but so were they all, right down to the porter. IF towells are left on beds before 8:30 -9 they are removed, the pool area is small but it never seemed a problem and there were lilos and ball games going on, everyone really respected each other and were friendly.
The area itself is great, FANTASTIC places to eat, the fish is to die for, shame on me for not remembering the name of my fave place that sold a dish of 4 different fish, new potato and perfect veg, it was to die for, turn right at the first island cross the road and walk a 100 mtrs, check the menu for it.
teasers bar next to the appartments is a must, the staff are more than wonderful, mario is so warm and friendly, [he will get you on the shots for free so beware] all the staff here are great, they do an english breakfast for 2 euros if that is your thing. We went there every day for drinks as the staff were great and had a good meal when we tired of all the wonderful fish that was on offer. The beach is just down the road and to the right although on a steep hill [for me anyway] the main strip is 15-20 mins away turning right out the main enterance although this was not for us and I wouldnt allow the teens there on their own. OLD TOWN is fantastic, a beautiful place and worth a visit, if you cant get a taxi [we couldnt] get a bus [hotel will help you].
on the whole a good base for a great holiday, bar staff make it for the teens, ours built a great friendship with them and they took alot of time when free to talk to them, GREAT!!
ive spent alot of time looking for a holiday for this year and reviews have worried me on every one, please dont worry about going here, its great.
