We stayed four nights in the Vivenda Miranda hotel and everything was just perfect. Very friendly staff, great service and the food is excellent. All rooms have a great view of the ocean and beautiful garden.

After a week of travelling around Portugal, we spent another 7 days in this amazing hotel. We were looking for a small and intimate hotel because we do not like the hustle and bustle of hotel resorts and were not disappointed. Our Junior Suite was spacious and airy with a terrace to enjoy the sun. We didn’t do much excursion-wise so we can’t give any recommendations. Instead we spent our days lazing around the pool and getting massages in the little spa. If you are into chocolate you mustn’t miss the chocolate-based treatments! The spa staff (and the staff in general!) was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The food was excellent too. Actually, we had planned to check out local restaurants because we had only 4 dinners (set menus) included but in the end we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant every night. The a la carte choice was just too good to be missed!

Although it was a quick getaway, we thoroughly enjoyed it and keep very fond memories of the serene and peaceful grounds.

The staff was accommodating and aside from a couple of episodes not worth mentioning, all went well.

The property does not have individual room climate controls and that needs to be taken in consideration upon checking the room so that the temperature can be adjusted from the start. Apparently, maintenance staff is not on location after hours...

The city is worth visiting just for a drink or so, but if you have a car, visit other areas of the region, such as Sagres or Portimão.

Wow! We just spent 5 days at beautiful Vivenda Miranda and still cannot believe what a gem we found! Our experience started with a much needed welcome drink on the restaurant terrace: the stunning view depicted on the hotel’s website is not exaggerated. Our room turned out to be a nice one, the furniture could use a little updating but it didn’t lack in comfort. What impressed us most were the impeccable gardens and the unbelievable quiet. And still we were only a nice walk (or a short taxi ride  ) away from the picturesque old town of Lagos. The staff made us feel truly at home and couldn’t have been more wonderful and attentive: we will definitely return to this magnificent spot!
