Lisbon was our last stop after three weeks in Spain and Portugal so we were particularly delighted to be greeted by a humorous and warm desk clerk and then discover our rooms were large, comfortable and nicely decorated, all for about $250 a night for two. Quiet hotel but a block away from the action with fabulous buffet breakfast - bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, pastry selection, toast & croissants, jams, cereals, cheese, grilled vegetables, yogurt, etc. in a lovely room off the main lobby.
Free internet in the lobby and wi-fi in the room. Maid service was extraordinary as we left the room a mess and came home to find it not only cleaned, but straightened up with our clothing on a clothes tree. That was more than any other maid had done anywhere!
They did everything we asked, helped us with bags, wake up calls, suggested where we could go for fado in the most pleasant way.
The hotel went way beyond expectations and gives a lot of bang for the buck. We also stayed earlier at the Lisbao Plaza, which was fine, but we all (four of us) preferred the Britania.
Mattresses are comfortable and rooms are not only large, but attractive.
Bathrooms have all the amenities.
