The 4-star Tivoli Jardim Hotel is located on a side street off Avenida Liberdad, a main shopping thoroughfare, and behind its sister 5-star Hotel Tivoli. The aerobus for 3.9E drops you off in 20 minutes by the metro stop and it is a 5-minute or less walk to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Our fourth floor front exterior room, twin beds, was modern, quietly soundproofed, and spacious by European standards, and including a small fridge, television, desk, two charis, free safe (10E deposit), television and adequate closet space for travellers with more luggage than ou carry-ons and small backpacks. The hot and cold breafeast buffet included in our 87E rate made directly with the hotel(120E+ by the time of our stay) had many choices. Staff is professional and knowledeable. The hotel shares a garden and pool with its sister hotel. Easy access to the metro permits you to take a 2-stop 10 minute ride to the cafes and many resxaurants in Baixa-Chiado--make sure you have a bica and dessert at Cafe Brasilheira and pose with the poet's statue in front of the art nouveau cafe, as well as a few block walk to Bota Alta and Cafe Gavetas for dinner, and fado at the almost all locals Caldo verde cafe/restaurant in the nearby Bairro Alto. Tram 28 with access to the St. George castle, the cahtedral, and the Alfama is a 10-minute walk to two plaza's distant near the Mundial Hotel/Martim Moniz Plaza; 2 stops above Avenida to visit the marvelous Gulbenkian Museum with its current Cartier exhibit and permanent Lalique exhibit; and access to Belem and its monuments and monastery can be reached by a short bus from Baixa or walking down a steep street and hailing a #15 bus, which in the opposite direction can drop off near the base of the Alfama; or take the Avenida metro 2 stops to the zoo stop and walk to the Sete Rios train station for the 40-minute rider to Sintra, stopping at Queluz en route to visit the well-preserved royal palace. A 10-minute walk on Ave Liberdad brings you to Restaudores, Rosssio, and its boutiques including th ose on Via Augusta which also has another Cafe Braislheira branch. To save money, buy a sete colinas ticket which provides unlimited use to visit all Lisbon attractions for 5-6E. All in all, the hotel was a nice property for a 4-day visit. For comments on the Tivoli Sintra where we stayed 2 days, see the separate review.
