Stayed here for a few days prior to a cruise departing from Lisbon. The location of the hotel is far from the major tourist sites, however there were a couple of subway locations about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. We were able to get around the city easily by subway. We were upgraded to a Suite based on our ambasador/platinum status with the hotel chain's frequent guest program, priority club. The suite was of a good size and the accommodations nice and clean. The bathroom was of a good size. The shower's water pressure was wonderful. I didn't find the hotel staff friendly or welcoming. However I am not sure whether that was just the natural demeanor of lisboans in general. We would probably stay at this property again if we find ourselves in Lisbon again. However I do not recommend it for persons who plan to get around by taxi or would have difficulty walking the distance to the subways. Don't eat at the hotel, we found the price of meals to be rather expensive at the hotel. There are some nice looking cafe's and restaurants in a the building across the street and there was a supermarket relatively close by.

Good standard Holiday Inn. Went as part of a group of 11. All had rooms of a good quality. All doubles, some had 2 double beds. We paid 69euros per rom per night

Cleanliness good.

Breakfast slightly pricey at 12euros, but of the hot buffet type, and seconds (free) were possible to set you up for the day.

Restaurant and bar v.quiet in evenings (surprisingly), so its best to venture out for food.

Alameda metro station near by to get into city centre. runs till aboiut 0100 hours.

Taxis are also reasonably priced

Would definitely use again

We stayed here for a couple of days the week before Christmas. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was a very spacious suite, both clean and comfortable.

Whilst not in the city centre, it was a ten minute walk to two metro stations. A taxi rank outside the hotel was also useful as we managed to visit during heavy winter rain! Being the ‘right side’ of town for the airport and mainline railway station meant onward travel was easy.

Wireless internet is available in the rooms, but charges apply. We did not eat at the hotel, so cannot comment.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon.

I found this hotel to be very good. The staff was friendly, the accommodations on the executive level where I stayed were quite good (the room was extremely large by European standards), the restaurant was great, and the pool was pretty good. The hotel was fairly near to tourist sites, and near to a metro stop. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“We stayed for 2 weeks!”

We had booked into this hotel initially intending to spend a few nights there and move on elsewhere in Portugal. We enjoyed Lisbon so much and found so much to do (for two 50 year olds with a 13 year old daughter) that we ended up staying there for 2 weeks. We walked from the hotel to the metro station every day (around 15 minutes away) and got around easily. There was an Erotic Club sign opposite the hotel which you could see at night - I was a bit worried when I saw that at first - but we found the area to be fine and never had a problem coming home late at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable (we moved to a bigger one part way through the holiday). There was a safe, the air conditioning was efficient and we liked having the Hollywood movie channel for free. The best bit was the rooftop pool and sun loungers. The pool was small, 1 metre deep, but just enough for cooling off in and having a little bit of a swim. It was great to be able to swim or sunbathe in the morning and then have the city to explore for the rest of the day. Most of the staff were nice but as you might expect in a big city hotel the service wasn't very personal. The worst bit about the hotel was the piped music - but it made us laugh. Overall, we thought the hotel was very good value for money.
