The hotel was very pleasant and situated in a clean and vibrant part of the city. The Oriente station is a two minute walk away where trains, metro and buses are available to all parts of the city. Public transort in Lisbon is excellent and good value for money. Just across the road is the Vasco da Gama shopping centre which is well worth a vist and contains some reasonable places to eat. Beyond the shopping centre is the rest of the parque das nacoes where you will find good restaurants, nice open areas, the oceanarium (which is well worth a visit), and the cable cars etc.
The hotel staff were friendly, efficient and always took time to help. The room we stayed in was at the rear of the hotel, so the view was not quite as impressive as those situated at the front of the hotel, but we still had a panoramic view of the city.
The beds were comfortable and clean, and were made up for you every day. The rooms are modern and well maintained, containing air conditioning, TV with some English channels and adequate storage space for clothing etc. The bathrooms are clean and modern containing a bidet and hairdryer, and the usual selection of complementary toiletries.
The breakfasts were excellent and offered a huge variety, on a buffet basis. We found that after a large breakfast we were satisfied for the rest of the day and didn't need to bother with lunch at all. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and would stay there again in the future.

We stayed in Tryp Oriente before an early flight. The Hotel is 5 min by car from/to the airport. We took a taxi in the morning just in front of the Hotel door.
The location is perfect for the airport but if I were in Lisbon for sightseeing I would prefer to stay near "Rossio" or "Avenida da Liberdade".
Anyway, the underground take you from "Parque das Nações" to downtown in 20 min.
Spacious room with fantastic views to the river.Everything was spotless clean.
Great breakfast...the best we have had in any hotel in Lisbon!!
Overall, a confortable Hotel in the Lisbon most modern part, with excellent service and a good value for money!

“Very good hotel, good location for those who like to stay in the modern Lisbon”

Tryp Oriente

I went to this hotel last weekend, and I've stayed for 3 days. The hotel is very good, but I think a little bit too expensive for the facilities it has, but we can't forget that "Parque das Nações" is one of the most expensive areas in the city.
The room was regular for a 4* hotel, clean and standard, with an outstanding view over the "Tejo river" and all the "Expo" buildings. I must say that I was impressed with the view. One of the most beautiful views I've seen recently. I've stayed in the top floor. Wonderful.
I took my breakfast in the room, and it was very good, breakfast with a lot of choices, bread, juices, milk, coffee, everything you can expect.
For me the “Parque das Nações area” is the better place to stay in Lisbon, I love the modern arquitecture of the buildings (constructed for the EXPO98), the wide streets and you have almost everything across the street.
In front of the hotel you have a Express Pizzeria (that can deliver the pizza in your room), and 2 minutes walking you have a big (modern) shopping (Shoping Vasco da Gama) where you can find everything you look to eat or to buy. Don’t forget to visit the Oceanario (one of the most well-known aquariums in the world). Another building near the hotel is the “Pavilhão Atlantico”, where it take place most of the international superstars concerts and events. And for those who have fun rolling some dices, or playing some cards, you have the “Lisbon Casino” 5 minutes from the hotel.
For those who want to stay close to the historical places in Lisbon this hotel is not the better choice, this area is in the east side of the city, but you have the metro 3 minutes walking from the hotel, where you can go directly to the main historical areas in Lisbon.

“Near airport”

Tryp Oriente

Reviews said this hotel has comfortable beds -- true. It is near the airport and serves continental breakfast from 4 am (regular breakfast from 7 am) so was a great place to stay when we had an early morning flight. Taxi from hotel (no waiting for one) took only 5 minutes. Hotel is new, very clean, and in an area with several good restaurants. Also very near the metro if you wished to go into the downtown.)

Sometimes you don’ need no stinkin’ charm! Sometimes you just need a clean, comfortable, large, modern, quiet, well-equipped room with a great shower, where everything works. We stayed here our last night in Lisbon because it is close to the airport, a 5-minute cab ride. It’s also a block away from a subway station, and the subway in Lisbon is superb. From here you can get to any central city location in 15 minutes. Every detail of maintenance had been taken care of. Our room had a view of the train and bus stations behind the hotel, actually quite nice to look at (see photo). Highly recommended.
