The hotel was very pleasant and situated in a clean and vibrant part of the city. The Oriente station is a two minute walk away where trains, metro and buses are available to all parts of the city. Public transort in Lisbon is excellent and good value for money. Just across the road is the Vasco da Gama shopping centre which is well worth a vist and contains some reasonable places to eat. Beyond the shopping centre is the rest of the parque das nacoes where you will find good restaurants, nice open areas, the oceanarium (which is well worth a visit), and the cable cars etc.
The hotel staff were friendly, efficient and always took time to help. The room we stayed in was at the rear of the hotel, so the view was not quite as impressive as those situated at the front of the hotel, but we still had a panoramic view of the city.
The beds were comfortable and clean, and were made up for you every day. The rooms are modern and well maintained, containing air conditioning, TV with some English channels and adequate storage space for clothing etc. The bathrooms are clean and modern containing a bidet and hairdryer, and the usual selection of complementary toiletries.
The breakfasts were excellent and offered a huge variety, on a buffet basis. We found that after a large breakfast we were satisfied for the rest of the day and didn't need to bother with lunch at all. Overall we were very happy with the hotel and would stay there again in the future.
