First of all, knowing quite well Athens, I reccomend this location as it has easy access to the Capital's main attractions and still secluded in a very beautiful area with beaches, bars and axcellent resturant. Secondly the hotel itself offers very nice rooms (mine had an amazing seaview), with pool (but a nice beach is only 50 meters away) and bar. Personnel always available and kind. A rich breakfast was included as well as illimited internet access. I would reccomend this hotel both to whom has to travel for business and for pleasure.

We arrived at Amarilia as guests to a Greek wedding. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the rooms very clean and pleasant. We look forward to our next stay in Amarilia. Alan, Rose, Joanna and baby Mark.

The rooms in this hotel are nice (decor and facilities a bit dated, but clean), but the staff weren't always helpful. In particular, the staff on the reception had a bit of an attitude.

There was some construction work going on in the hotel next door and we weren't able to use the pool. We weren't told this in advance or on check in and only found this out when we asked for chairs to sit outside. They weren't particularly apologetic about this and the attitude was more - not our fault gov!

The beach in front of the hotel is not very clean and to use the 5 star Divani hotel opposite you get charged 45 euros per day!. So there is no real alternative to the pool.

The bar stayed open in the evenings, but quite often the barman was not behind the bar.

There are some nice tavernas on the beach to eat, there is free internet access in the foyer and the staff did help in booking a taxi to the airport, but overall not a fabulous hotel.

“Nice, reasonably priced hotel”

Amarilia Hotel

Stayed at the Amarilia hotel in Vouliagmeni at the end of an extended trip to Greece. We wanted a hotel that was accessible to the airport but not in Athens. The hotel is about a 30 minute drive from the airport and the route to the airport from the area of the hotel is extremely well marked. We were driving a rental car, and the Amarilia reserves parking in spaces in front of the hotel for guests. Rooms at the Amarilia were spacious and pleasant. Ours had a view of the sea. The hotel is one block back from the beach -- there is a small church in front of the hotel. There are several good fish tavernas on the beach in front of the hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly, although the night staff was slow to deal with a loud party in a neighboring room (at 4 am). The breakfast buffet was ample and good. If you plan to drive to the hotel, be sure to get good directions, especially if you are not traveling along the coast.
