The hotel has a great location. Very close to Ermou Street for regular shopping and Kolonaki for luxury itimes shopping. Plaka and the Acropolis together with main attractions are just in the vicity at walking distance. Metro station is a few steps from the hotel. The price is high but the experience is great. I surely recommend it

I loved the King George and will come back. The staff was wonderful, the accommodations were wonderful. I could relax. We were even travelling with our 7 month old daughter. Everyone was gracious and kind and the hotel itself was stunning. As I said, we will come back!

Excellent one night stay. Service was very efficient and friendly. The only complaint was that a tour bus (which I was shocked to see a tour bus group stay at this hotel!) showed up right before we tried to check out so the reception area was a madhouse and it took forever to check out and get our luggage. They worked so frantically and were so apologetic that we couldn't get angry even though we started to get nervous about getting to the airport on time.

Great breakfast buffet (great food and service) in Tudor Hall with nice view of Acropolis.

Free internet in the lobby.

Room and bathroom were top-notch even though we booked the least expensive room they have.

Booked a "honeymoon package" since it was the best rate I could find and we got a personal note from the manager, a bottle of champagne and a dish of walnuts drizzled in honey when we returned to our room after being out all afternoon.

Great location right near Parliment, although the Grande Bretange and another hotel are next door so there are lots of options in this area. I would stay in this area again - we only had one day and one night in Athens and we could walk everywhere and easily do a quick overview of the city.

By the way, both taxi drivers in Athens tried to screw us by making up stories about extra fees, etc and when we said "no way" the price instantly dropped by at least 10 euros. It is worth researching what the taxi norms are and holding your ground with those guys.

Superb rooms, service, and with the platinum card an incredible breakfast and upgrade. Small luxury hotel and a terrific staff. I would stay there again and again. As luxurious as the Grand Bretagne with much more intimacy.
