This hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed in! and i've stayed in many upscale hotels, so i know what i'm talking about. The service is impeccable, te rooms are extremely elegant, and the atmosphere is the friendliest. The hotel's employees, from the room service, the concierge, to the hotel manager, make you feel at home. every time you enter your room or suite, you find a little treat from the kitchen. whether its a muffin, a homemade chocolate, cheese, or fruit, it's impossibly delicious. they treat you as if you're the only guest in the hotel. not to forget the location! the hotel is walking distance from everything....a shopping district and an all-week flea market is just a five minutes walk away. all in all, i'd like to say i'd go back there again.

Just back from a 5 days stay at King George Palace.
Ideally located on the Syntagma Square, this hotel is just perfect !
Service is very good, staff polite and professional. The concierge finds a solution to any single problem or request you may have (baby sitting, restaurant booking, plugs, ...)
We had the good surprise to be upgraded to a juinior suite instead of the superior room we booked. Compared to the size of the room and to the dressing, the bathroom was quite small and there was no real place to leave our things, but that was not a real problem.
The main restaurant (on the roof) has an amazing view on Athens and the Acropolis, whilst the ground restaurant (T Palace) is THE trendy place to be during week-ends (turns into bar-disco at night).
Most of Athens attractions are at a walking distance from the hotel, and for further visits, there is a metro station just accross the road.
Lot of shopping around the hotel (from the international luxury brands to local handycraft), great places to eat around Kolonaki area (5 min walk form the hotel).
Feel free to contact me for further info regarding the hotel or restaurants.

Probably the best hotel experience we have had in the past ten years of active traveling! We were able to book the hotel through the agency even though it was not one of their favorites - it should be! While the price was high (about $140/night/person) the stay was worth it and the delta between this and a superior hotel was not that much. From the beginning the stay was memorable. Our rooms, while not facing Constitution Square, were wonderful and each had different and unique additions. All faced an inner courtyard or other hotels and provided wonderful light and air. The dining room/breakfast area is "Tudor Hall" (floor 7?) and faces the Parthenon and the Acropolis. Exquisite setting, furnishing, and view. All the staff knew your names after the first meeting and greeted you as such. The breakfast selection - included - was fantastic. During our five day stay we ate the evening meal there twice. We celebrated a birthday and were surprised by the general manager who presented small gift bags to all the ladies - what a nice touch and all while basking under a full moon and the well-lit Acropolis. The only caution is the doorman - if you want a cab he will not hail a local one or one waiting - but rather call a "radio dispatched" one with the inherent costs - it doubles the price and increased the wait time. After the first experience of such I just stepped out on the street and got one within a minute. On the other hand - the hotel front desk was able to arrange an early morning cab (4AM) to the airport and the extra cost was negligible. A definite plus for location, ambience, and an all around attentive staff. I will stay there again if we return to Athens.

“THE perfect stay”

This was my 2nd visit, and I am looking forward to my next stay. The rooms are heaven and the staff outstanding. We were staying for 3 nights and everyone from the maid to the waiter and the reception made us feel at home. Everything we asked for was promptly done and they always asked us if we are happy. The location is just perfect. You are right at the subway station which brings you to the airport within 35 minutes. So if you go to Athens, this is the place to stay. Out of 10 points, I give them 11. I hope to I can stay next time longer.

To book, we used Fantasy Travel in Athens (across the square from this hotel). The rooms were gorgeous and large. We wanted an Acropolis view and both times we stayed here, we recceived a very pleasing room w/ a great view. All the staff were very attentive. We would definately stay here again. Much more pricey than the last trip (when we stayed at Divani Acropolis). But location and quality are well worth it.
