My wife & I attended a meeting in Athens and stayed at this amazing hotel for six nights, long enough to find any inherent faults, there were none! Indeed it is the nearest thing to a Four Seasons in Greece. The service was awsome, and whilst the furniture was eleaborate the whole ambience was more than could be expected. The position in the main square of Athens is perfect. The concierge gave us some good restaurant tips, the best being the Orizontes restaurant on Mount Likabetus, the view over the city is worth the trip up the funicular alone.

The arranged limo at the airport was just superb; a porter met us at the luggage carousel, and took all luggage and golf clubs, to the limo. BTW golf at Glyfada is quite good, the only course on mainland Greece, need many more please!

Hope this helps, one extra tip is to visit the small island of Hydra, no cars, bikes, just horses and donkeys! Bliss...

Great hotel, Great People, Great Unique Expirience

We have been planning this trip to Greece together with my partner for quite some time. Finally we made it and spent 4 nights in Myconos and another 4 nights in Athens.

We selected the King George after reading the reviews in your site, the press and from friends recommendations.

The hotel and the staff was beyond our expectations. Unique style, friendly people, the do know what hospitality is about. Beeing a guest at the King George Palace you are a guest with a name and not just a room number.

All the staff members went far and beyond their duty just to make sure that we had what we needed and in a very friendly way, not fake, not overwelcoming just the way it should be.

We will definitely be back and we will definitly recommend it to all our friends that are planning to visit Athens

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and really hated to leave. The staff was so kind with our arrival, trying to give us a room we liked with my husband using a wheelchair, they sent us to the lovely dinning room on the roof and provided a beverage while we waited for the room. The choice of two rooms was offered, we loved the Junior Suite and spent three wonderful nights being pampered by the hotel staff and enjoying the beautiful suite. They cannot do enough for you, the staff wants to make your stay the most pleasant experience (class without the attitude) and after many luxury hotels that we have stayed in we rate this as one of the top places in Europe. If you are in Athens, this is a wonderful place to call home! The General Manager should be very proud of his staff, it is rare to find such warmth from the maid to the front desk, or the roof top to room service they work at trying to make your stay a happy one.

This hotel is one of the best I've ever stayed in! and i've stayed in many upscale hotels, so i know what i'm talking about. The service is impeccable, te rooms are extremely elegant, and the atmosphere is the friendliest. The hotel's employees, from the room service, the concierge, to the hotel manager, make you feel at home. every time you enter your room or suite, you find a little treat from the kitchen. whether its a muffin, a homemade chocolate, cheese, or fruit, it's impossibly delicious. they treat you as if you're the only guest in the hotel. not to forget the location! the hotel is walking distance from everything....a shopping district and an all-week flea market is just a five minutes walk away. all in all, i'd like to say i'd go back there again.
