The front desk was friendly and accomodating. We arrived from the ferry early in the morning, and they already had our rooms ready. The staff could not be nicer.
The hotel itself seems expensive for what it is. The view is nice, but the rooms need refreshing. The mattresses are not too comfortable, and the bedding is dated. The bathrooms are very basic, what I would expect from a much less expensive hotel.
The location is nice in that the hotel overlooks the Venetian harbour, but it is still a 10 minute walk from busier, more touristic Old town of Chania.
I was not impressed with the quality of the restaurants located near the hotel. The 2 psarotavernas close to the hotel that came recommended by the front staff were o.k., but in no way were they memorable. The 3rd taverna that we chose after walking by was roughly the same level.
