A brand new and a perfect sea view resort very close to Chania (10 minutes by car), which is very clean and very quiet. The rooms are large and comfortable and very well decorated (Our room was perfect with a great balcony viewing the pool bar and the sea in 50m. distance). Two swimming pools (one for children), a playground for children and a very relaxing and beautiful pool bar between the pool and the aegean sea.
It was a perfect choice for me and my husband, and the price was very nice, too.
If I have to mention a few cons, breakfast was included but it is not their strong point - believe me. You see a variety of food, but so few of them can make you really happy, i.e.: no tasty sweets included. They offer only two kinds of bread which you suppose to slice one by one. (In the meantime, a whole queue is standing behind you waiting for you to finish slicing). Apart from eggs and a certain variety of ham, there' s nothing more interesting to it. Of course, dinner for us was not included, so I cannot really judge it.

But, in general terms, for me it was the best hotel you can find in the area in such a good price, very clean, very nice, I give it 5 stars because it had everything I had dreamt of a hotel...

i would say that everything was above the standard that i was
expecting for a 4* hotel (especially during the high season where
greeks leave their cities and everywere was so noisy!). i left from
my home in athens and i found paradise....

the hotel is situated in the most suitable and convenient area of
platanias (and chania). 10 km from chania, 500m from platanias
village and directly after the national highway exit and exactly on
the beach of platanias...

if not all, most of the rooms have SEA VIEW and many front sea view.
as far as the rooms in the lower level that i read in a previous review i know that these are much cheaper since i have been asked
about the vacation package from my travel agent!!!

rooms were tidy and quite large (since they are hotel rooms and not apartments). i met some friends of mine in that hotel and they told me that their room was connected with the next room in order to have the space they wanted for their children (but in that case he paid for their children...).
personnel was really friendly, helpful + discrete (and multilingual which is not easy to find).

3 large swimming pools next to the beach with plenty of space in the
pool area and more space in the beach although sunbeds were charged
2.50 euros (the cheapest we paid in all chania beaches we visited)

the ala carte menu in the beach bar was very good (grilled dishes to fresh fish and lobster spaghettis...), whilst the restaurant buffett was really good (14 salads to choose + 9 main dishes: more than enough!). breakfast we always missed since we just could not wake up!

something negative was the lack of entertainment! no live music and no animation. however, this proved to be good since what we really wanted was to get rest...

in other words:
*highly recomended*

If you're looking for a 4 star hotel, it's better to look for another one.

It's considered at most a 3 star hotel and according to the people we were talking about, it is a good 3 star hotel.

Before, you book your room ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor, otherwise they will put you on the 1st floor which is under the ground (no kidding, the garden is above the place you have to sit outside and you look at the wall in front of you). If you stand up you have a nice view of the gardern.

The area of the hotel has many mosquitoes in case you are interested, You cann't sit outside at night. The room has many killed mosquitoes on the wall as a mosaic art. The room has screen for the insects. You are lucky if they operate well.

The safe costs €2 per day and the chairs on the beach cost € 2,50 each.

You have to have your own towels for the beach.

Food is for a 3 star hotel simple nothing special.

No playground for kids, only a swing just to demonstrate they have play ground.

The rooms are good for 2 persons, if you have one kid no problem he can sleep on a sofa, if you have two kids then above the sofa they have made a funny construction and all of them in a small room as the one for two persons.

New and nice hotel. Beautiful gardens, nice pools and beach. The food at the main restaurant (breakfast and dinner) is very good. The personnel is very helpful and kind. It is a quiet place and next to the busy area of platanias cafeterias, shops and bars (10 minutes on foot). The only disadvantages are the food at the beach bar and the charge at the beach sunbeds (the sunbeds at the pool area are free).
