My wife and I have just returned from a weeks ½ board stay at this hotel.

The hotel is advertised as being 4 star, but by UK standards ranks as a 3 star. It is in excellent condition. Its also worth mentioning,
that a new block has been constructed on the opposite side of the car par. This block though pristine, is in my opinion soulless, whereas the older hotel has design charm.

Food is a buffet style breakfast & dinner, which is eaten in the new blocks dinning room. Alas the lack of charm of the dinning room (it reminded us of a works canteen) does not encourage you to linger over
meals. The food was plentiful with an excellent choice of salads, a good soup, two or three choices of main courses, plus a choice of sweets. I found the main courses rather institutional but others may not agree. It was better to get to dinner early so that the sweets were not pulled about too much by the other diners.

If I found I did not like the main course I would have a salad, then eat later at one of the many excellent tavernas down by the shore

The old hotels pool is good, with a pool bar and plenty of tables and chairs. The new blocks main pool is on the roof, though why anyone would chose to swim up there is beyond me.

The hotel rooms are bit on the small side, though the do have large size beds in them. The big down side is in the lack of hanging space for clothes and the ventilation on the bathroom /toilet. The toilet has a high level window that opens onto the corridor; so all passers by tend to know what you are doing.

Their was complete lack of entertainment during the week we were there, but noticed that a Greek night was scheduled for the following
week. Thus said, the big plus of this hotel is its charming staff and
the close proximity to a superb sandy safe beach, which gently shelves out to sea.

We found both the hotel and the resort excellent for couples with or without young children, but feel that as a resort Almyrida has little
to offer young singles.

We happily recommend the hotel to all others and would stay at it again.

“Lovely Fiendly Hotel”

Almyrida Beach Hotel

Just returned from a weeks stay at his lovely little hotel. Unfortunately the weather was terrible and we ended up with terrible floods which destroyed the hotel. It was heartbreaking watching the place being destroyed. The staff were devasted but still managed to guide everyone to safety. I hope that they can rebuild this beautiful little hotel to it's former glory. It was such a lovely place with the nicest staff I have ever come across. I was intending to write good reviews for this hotel and the lovely tavernas surrounding it (especially 'Shells' if you want a change from greek food and fancy a really good 'full english').

Dear Tripadvisor Visitors,

We would like to thank you for all your comments regarding the Almyrida Beach Hotel & Studios!

Due to a flood in the end of October, the Hotel's Ground Floor has been damaged in terms of its furniture.

We therefore feel that we should inform and assure all our guests that the Hotel will be fully operational in the coming summer season 2007 and even nicer!!!

We hope to see you there!!!

Thank you!!!!

“Good But No 4 Star”

Staying at the 'Almyrida Beach Hotel' in September 2006 we were very disappointed on arrival by the small sparsley furnished rooms. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable I've slept on and both my wife and I woke with back ache each morning. The hotel was spotlessly clean but the maids had a curious habit of placing our used towels on the balcony to dry rather than replacing them! The food was O.K. but uninspiring - if possible choose the B&B option as local Tavernas are excellent. Overall this is a nice hotel but don't expect 4 star (except from the staff who were all *****)!

“A little gem!”

Almyrida Beach Hotel

A lovely hotel, where the friendliness of the staff is only matched by the fabulous location. The Almyrida Beach Hotel has all the intimacy of a small hotel with everything you would expect from a larger establishment. The pool is a good size and never appears to be overcrowded. The beach, with golden sands, good swimming and waves is a few yards away. There are plenty of tavernas offering good quality food right on the edge of the sea, with a couple of decent supermarkets.

Downsides? The food at the Almyrida Beach Hotel is good quality fare, but you might want to eat out a few evenings even if you are half board. Bizarrely, as several others have commented, the breakfast juices appear to be severely watered down! Unless you are a complete pool and beach fan, you might want to hire a car for a few days as transport isn't great.

But, overall, this is a tremendous hotel in a lovely village, with the nicest staff you're ever going to meet, which adds up to a great holiday.

“Just book B&B!”

A great little hotel in a very pretty beach setting. The staff are all helpful & the room maids have a wonderful sense of humour. A good location for couples & families alike. However as good as the hotel is the food certainly does not meet expected 4* standards - Breakfast is just about adequate but Dinner leaves something to be desired!BOOK FOR B&B ONLY & YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!Try the local tavernas on the beach they are cheap & generally serve good fayre.
