I went here for my honeymoon and it was not a good experience. It is not a luxury resort, even if the owner seems to think so. We were fooled by the greek rating system, which only looks at space, equipment and such. Not service and kindness of the staff.
We booked the most expensive room in the hotel, with a private pool. But the owners systematically overbooks the hotel, so we had to move to a tiny room instead, not so great start of our honeymoon. And we were not alone. Basically half the group were double booked. Some had to switch hotels and a family of four had to cramp in to a single.
Do not take the half board. For the same amount of money, you get much better food at the sourrounding restaurants. In general, the hotel restaurant is not very good. The breakfast is the same every morning, and I got sick of it the first week. I found it amusing that tap water was served for breakfast, but if you asked for it for lunch, the answer was "we don't serve tap water, you have to buy bottled". Everything to squeeze some extra euros out of you.
There are a lot of small things that were annoying. You have to pay extra for beach towels. Broken AC. Internet cost a fortune. No shower curtain in the room. Only one towel per person for showering(what girl can live with that?). Reception forgot to give us a wake up call. And the list goes on. Just one of these things would be ok, but they just kept on coming.
The pool area is nice, and the location great. The beach is close. It is also easy to get in to Chania for dinner and shopping.
If you go here, don't expect too much. It is ok, but not a luxury resort.
