We stayed here one night, getting a taxi from the airport, and hiring
a car the next day. It’s not easy negotiating one way streets of Heralkion, especially after dark, and there is no convenient place to
park. Having said that, the Marin Dream is a good location to explore
the city on foot and has good views over the harbour. Our room was comfortable and modern, though the bed was a bit hard, but this seems
the norm in Crete. The service was excellent, as was the breakfast. We would definitely use this hotel for an overnighter again.

we stayed here for one night when we arrived at the port, and one night before we flew out of crete. Overall the hotel was great location and the service was great.
the hotel staff organised our local hire car for great rates, booked us a second night for signficantly less than we paid through expedia for our first night and gave us heaps of advice. Very very friendly staff. You could tell they enjoyed their job!.
The second night we were upgraded to a room with a view and alot more space... definitely worth paying extra for if you are booking online.
The beds were hardish, but this is a common problem in greece.
The hotel is newly refurished and the free use of internet is a great bonus for travellers.
Breakfast was good as well and included in the price.
The location is central - you can walk everywhere. But beware the one way streets and greek drivers when returning the rental car!.
The taxi to the airport is 10 euros and to Knossos is 12 Euros.
Overall would recommend to other travellers as a good stop over on the way to viewing other parts of Crete.

We stayed here for our first two nights in Crete. The pluses of staying here was: it's location (car rental offices, archaelogical museum, shops, harbour are all within walking distance), the friendliness of the staff, security- the rooms are alarmed and warn you when the door is not properly shut, and the breakfast- the lightest greek youghurt. Room service was very reasonably priced and good quality. The down side was that bathroom was smelly due to reflux problems in the plumbing system, but we were on the first floor but next time we will ask for a higher floor. The only other thing is if you like sleeping with the windows open, this part of town is too noisy to do that because the flight path of aeroplanes are very close. We paid 75 euros/night for this b&b. I would stay here again!

We only stayed here for one night but enjoyed out time here. The room was slightly small but was very modern, clean and comfortable.
The views across the harbour were great and the air conditioning worked properly and was very quiet (had some 'noise' issues in other hotels).
The staff were all very friendly, and let us leave our luggage and loiter about for our very later flight the night we checked out out.
For a 3* hotel this is a very good choice and have no hesitation recomending to other tourists.
