We were very pleased with Hotel Boulis. It is situated directly on the beach so it was easy to return to our room to get water, fresh towels, and go to the washroom. The staff were very friendly and always promptly answered any questions that I had via email prior to arriving.

This hotel does not pick you up from the port, but it is only a short 5 minute walk. When you step off the ferry, look to your left, you will see the large blue letters on the building "Hotel Boulis" accross the water.

The beach is sandy and you can walk out into the water for quite sometime before it deepens. It was gorgeous! The hotel offers a buffet breakfast that smelled delicious, however being two single girls travelling we never woke up early enough to enjoy it. We booked this hotel online, and we ticked off that we wanted the buffet breakfast, which added 10 euros a day to our bill. However when we checked out they did not charge us for the breakfast and refunded us the money. They were really nice about the whole thing. There is no curfew, we often rolled in to our room around 4 or 5 am with no problems, just a friendly greeting from reception.

I would definitely stay here again. We stayed in Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini, Athens, Naufplion and Sifnos. I would have to say that I had the very best time in Sifnos. It was amazing. Visit the Old Captain Bar (2 minute walk from Hotel Boulis), everyone there is very friendly....and the drinks are good too (although a little pricey, 8 euros/cocktail) but since our hotel was so very cheap, we had some extra money to burn. There is also an internet cafe accross the street from the Old Captain, and two great Italian restaurants.
