Just got back from a 2 weeks stay at this property, and we found it suited our needs pretty well.
I was bit undecided as to whether to give it 3 or 4 stars, but decided on 4, as although quite basic, it was definitely above average, especially for the price.
Angelika is about 10 minutes walk from the main area of town -
shops/restaurants/beach etc, but the walk is not up or down hill
so it was no problem at all, and seemed not as far as I expected. Especially as you can take an alternative route in to town, passing a lovely bakers plus a number of tavernas, and be at Piso Krioneri - the smaller, quieter beach in about 5 minutes.
Across road from the hotel is Dokos Taverna, which we visited a few times. The food is great, and they also show most football and rugby matches, so we watched 2 England games there.
Our room was on the ground floor, although we would have quite liked a room with a balcony and these were all full. So it might be an idea to request this in advance next time!
The studios are cleaned every day, beds always made, towels folded etc. Definitely no complaints there. The bathroom was pretty much a wet room really - hand held shower, shower tray but no curtain. Kitchen area has a fridge, 2 ring hob, enough cutlery, plates, glasses etc for 2 people.
Ideal things to take with you if self catering, as quite expensive to buy and wish I'd known - tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towel. Oh and shampoo's not cheap either!
There is a little mini market just across the road, but prices are better in some of the bigger ones closer to, or in town.
The pool was lovely. Also very clean, and was never very busy at this time of year. But mind you, as the hotel is not very big it's unlikely to get too crowded. I had looked at properties closer to the centre without pools, but we really apreciated it at the end of a long hot day, especially as we had it to ourselves many times.
A few places I would recommend to visit -
Dokos Taverna (as mentioned, just across road)
Sail In Bar
Antico Rock Bar
Il Posto Bar for HUGE cocktails
Stefanos restaurant - very nice fish
Golfo Beach Restaurant - nice food and location, but the Greek entertainment wasn't great.
Would I go back to Parga again? Definitely!
Would I stay at Angelika again? Probably.
