We stayed at the hotel for 3 days in july ´08. The hotel looks nice and have a perfect location for strolling in Aarhus, but overpriced (1700,- dkk pr. night) compared to what you get.
1. The room,
Pros: We got an ok large room (no. 220) w. sitting area. The decor may not suit all, but it was cosy. It was also clean, and the maid did an excellent job cleaning up our mess everyday ;)
Cons: Theres no A/C, no safety box, the "double" bed is made of 2 single beds that easily splits apart, theres no alarm clock, and no hot tub in the bathroom. Bathrobe and towels looks like its 20 years old and feels like grinding paper.
2. The staff - Friendly, but unprofessional.
Staff didnt appear to be educated full time hotel personnel, but more like substitutes.
When we arrived they didnt offer any help with our suitcases - I have no problem carrying my own bags, but when I stay at a hotel claiming to be 4 star, I expect just a little extra service.
3. The breakfast. Theres plenty of choices on the large buffet, but overall quality of the products is average. E.g. the bread is bake-off not fresh, the scramble eggs is made of "powder eggs" that smells and taste terrible, and the pancakes are prefab.
