We stayed 2 nights post cruise at the Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers. We took a 25 minute cab ride from the port to the hotel. The hotel is fairly new and our room was immaculate. We had a corner family suite that included two separate bedrooms connected through an inside door. Each bedroom had its own bath and flat screen tv. The bathrooms are large, and one even has a separate tub and a separate shower. The closets have an automatic light when the doors are open. There is a small refrigerator in each room as well as electric hot pot for water and complimentary coffee/hot chocolate & tea. Each bedroom is large and the beds are very comfortable. I would definitely say the family suite is one of the best designed I've stayed in and can easily accommodate families.
I'm not easily impressed, but I have to admit that I was impressed with this hotel. When you enter in the lobby, the setting is very modern. There are high ceilings and the lobby is newly furnished with modern, simplistic furniture. Additionally, there is
free internet access (computers are on the other side of the pool tables). I believe
the rooms also have free wifi. There is a large gathering area close by that large
groups can hang out in, and additional tables next to a bar area.
The hotel is near the metro (train & bus) station...between a 5-10 minute walk. Use
the door near the bar for a short cut. There's a huge 3 level mall in the same vicinity across from the train or metro stop. It's called Fields Mall and has a large food court and some nice, though a bit pricey stores. You can buy your metro tickets from the concierge. It's only a couple of stops on the metro to central Copenhagen. We took it to Nyhavn, a very popular tourist spot for boat tours, shopping and eating in outdoor cafes. From Nyhavn, you can easily walk to Stroget, a popular shopping district that
is longest pedestrian shopping area in Europe.
The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to the airport and it's best to book it when you check in to make sure you get the time slot you want. The concierge desk is very helpful with directions and the hotel staff is also polite and helpful.
We didn't try to buffet breakfast, but heard from others that it was good. This is a very lovely and new hotel. The only minor drawback is that it is not close to anything other
than the Fields Mall. However, we enjoyed our stay here very much and would highly recommend this for families who need a bigger space. The family suite was great!
Corner family suite is excellent for families. There's even a complimentary shoe
