“nice staff - shame about the place”

If you want a cheap hotel - then this is it - trouble is it's not cheap - it just looks, feels and smells cheap. Rooms tatty and not very clean - long overdue a refit.

Staff are nice and helpful - they almost make up for the awful rooms.

Food is OK.

Don't get a taxi - walk it - it's only 15 mins walk from the airport and the taxi drivers don't like taking you such a short distance anyway.

Persoanlly I'd stay somewhere else next time, maybe Sweden (both the hotels I tried in Copenhagen had small, tatty, dirty rooms).

You certainly don't get much for your money in Denmark - the room was worth no more than £45 - so why did it cost me 3 times that much?

“Will never stay again - terrible experience”

Quality Hotel Airport Dan

13 Apr 2008

I booked the hotel through Booking.com and checked in on a saturday afternoon. i will never stay at the hotel again. Though the hotel is situated close to the airport, a taxi ride will cost you about 75 DKK. But that was not the problem. The hotel is unclean and the rooms are in poor condition (see photos). The toilet and wash basin and towels were mangy. Their idea of a shower was a hand shower and a screen next to the toilet which flooded the bathroom in no time. there was no extractor fan, but a whole in the ceiling (due to the tile falling off) and I couldnt look into the mirror due to the steam that had accumulated. I was afraid to use the drier as I was standing in water (the bathroom had flooded). There was a plastic bag instead of a dust bin in the toilet and no toilet roll. When I checked out the hotel charged my card with 30 pounds extra to what I paid through Booking.com. I got back to booking.com who investigated the case and the hotel accepted their mistake, but have not refunded the difference yet. You have to pay 115 DKK to watch any channel in English in the room and the hotel will charge you for a glass of water. The buffet which was displayed as 115 DKK per person and poor in quality and does not include your glass of water either. I have learned my lesson not to ignore such reviews (I had read bad reviews on this hotel and still decided to stay there) and will never use Booking.com or stay at that hotel again.

This hotel is a brilliant place to stay. It's litterly 5 mins from the airport. We used the Metro and it's the next station then a short walk round the corner. Ideal for tourists as you can dump your bags quickly and then jump back onto the metro and be in the centre of Copenhagen within 20 minutes. The hotel itself is well furnished with a nice bar and free internet access which was a blessing. The neighbourhood is lovely and clean with restraunts, supermarkets and bars. The rooms were spacious with a full mini bar an comfertable beds. Only problem was that there was an unbarable smell of raw sewage from the bathroom at certain times of the day or night and secondly we ordered room service breakfast as we were in a rush to get to the airport. which failed to arrive. Overall, the setting and quality of the rooms alone are enough to make me return and easily recomend this hotel to tourists!

The Quality Dan is a great place to stay if you need to be near the airport or need good access to the city centre, either way its good. Its literally the first metro stop and just round the corner from the station (Kastrup) and its very clean and tidy inside also. They have free internet access, free fitness suite to use and they have a nice cozy bar with tv. There is many shops around the area too in case you need to grab a snack or two. The room is fairly basic, which you would expect, but it is very clean and the bathroom is nice and clean also. The view out of our room was not the best, but that doesnt really matter and I doubt it could be much better since its so far away from the city centre.

To get into the centre, you just need to hop on the train and you are there in 5 stops and the metro comes every 4 minutes.

I would recommend this hotel to most people.

“Pure convenience”

Quality Hotel Airport Dan

If you just need a place to crash near the airport, you really can't beat this place. It's a 15 minute walk from Terminal 3, and really easy to find. Unless you have lots of luggage or other mobility issues, don't bother with the $20 cab from the airport -- that shuttle the hotel says it runs doesn't operate for most of the day.
To get to the hotel, walk out of the main exit on Terminal 3. Cross the street, turn left, and walk about 3 minutes. You'll see an overpass on your right. Take it. Once on the overpass, get on the right-hand side of the street and walk for about 10 minutes. No turns, no nothing. You'll see it just after you pass the Blockbusters on the corner.
There's a metro station nearby that will get you to downtown Copenhagen in no time.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean (but with a seriously funky smell, which, mercifully, didn't drift into the room once we closed the door) but nothing fancy. There's a container of liquid soap intended as an all-purpose cleaner.
There's free internet in the lobby (two terminals), and a so-so breakfast buffet. Bad scrambled eggs, but everything else was fine.
Staffers were friendly and helpful.
