Slightly unfair to write a review as the Palace is currently undergoing a full restoration, however THIS acknowledged I was still driven to review this.
This impressive, multi-floor brownstone simply EXUDES faded glory and participation in history upon arrival.
Despite ground-floor refurbishment work, the former glory of the foyer can be clearly seen.
Staff VERy friendly and helpful. One downside is the elevators whose archaic manner of use was quite anachronistic in a city centre hotel IMO.
I stayed in a newly refurbished room on the second floor, and it was very impressive: a real air of class, and of having tried HARD to please in the refurb reigned here.
Lots of room, very fine bathroom, and a heavenly-comfortable bed.
All facilities worked well, but I was surprised to find I was to pay for WiFi in this day and age.
Location is quite awesome for access to the city centre, being adjacent to Copenhagen radhuis ( town hall) and a vast area of restaurants, shops and bars.
When the renovation is complete the Princess will give the Sas Royal a run for its money as the centres grandest and most personality-rich hotel IMO.
Recommended NOW to people who can accept the renovation in progress. Recommended in a years time to pretty much anyone who wants to stay in a fine, charismatic city centre hotel.
