I know we were in Scandinavia, but the design of the room was not modern, it was just very dull and plain. The size was decent, but it felt like we were in a hospital. Also, we kept on hearing other doors closing. Finally the bathroom was in definite need for renovation: everything was falling apart.
Because it's part of a swim / conference center, it doesn't feel like a hotel. We didn't feel very confortable and relaxed.

We stayed in DGI-byen over New Year's Eve. We chose it mainly because of its price - which was very low for Copenhagen, and its location.
The location is very central - right next to the main train station, so it is easy to access from the airport. Although we had view on the train tracks the room was very quiet. The main shopping street is within 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
The room itself had a good size and the bathroom was big. There was a kettle in the room, tea bags, instant coffee and some plastic mugs and spoons, which I personally found great.
The breakfast was good. There was quite a bit to choose from. But you must be careful about the breakfast times, because they are rather strict about them.
The only bad thing that I can say about the hotel is that there was some constant buzzing in the room. I don't know where it came from, perhaps it was something on the roof as we were on the last floor. However, this noise was not loud and you won't hear it if you're talking or watching TV, and it will not wake you up.
I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I was going to Copenhagen, and I would also recommend it to others.

Very close to the central station, a good place to explore the city. The room was fine for the price, which was a little bit high. The bathroom was very clean and you don't need to take shampoo and shower cream as they give you Dove ones. Very quiet. Breakfeast ok. Bring a bathing suit, because the hotel has a very good interior pool.

We stay in the DGI-Byen for 3 nights in November. Before travelling we checked up some of the reviews and were abit apprehension about staying at the hotel (even though we had booked at this stage). We did not know what to expect.
We were very pleasantly surprised. Firstly the location of the hotel was excellent.. 5 min walk from the Central train station.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean... with the rooms cleaned and towels changed daily. The weather was cold but the room at night were lovely and warm.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was of cereal, cold meat, yogurt, which was very good.....I would recommend having an evening meal in the restuarant.....the food is excellent!!

I would recommend this hotel to any person travelling to Copenhagen because it is so central and ideal for a get away break and it is very reasonably priced.

I would recommend to people when reading reviews not to believe all the bad things written.

We throughly enjoyed our break in Copenhagen and alot of that was because of the DGI-Byens hotel.
